This website shows my work and creativity in web design.
I made it! My name is Akshath.
HTML and CSS.
Yes, just click the button on the home page.
Yes, I will add animations and more pages.
Yes! It’s just for learning and fun.
Trains and creativity.
Yes, it’s really fun!
Yes, it’s made to fit all screens.
HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the standard language used to structure content on the web.
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is used to style and layout web pages — for example, to change colors, fonts, and spacing.
JavaScript makes websites interactive — it can handle button clicks, animations, and even live updates without refreshing.
Use CSS Flexbox or Grid and add media queries to adjust layout for different screen sizes.
Riding the Bernina Express in Switzerland
I’ve always been fascinated by trains — from the sound of the horn to the power of locomotives like the WAP-7. So I decided to turn that passion into a digital project!
Because trains represent power, engineering, and connection — all things I love exploring through creativity and technology.
I learned how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript work together — and how design can turn a simple idea into something exciting!
The Vande Bharat Express is currently the fastest train in India, with a top speed of around 180 km/h.
The Vivek Express from Dibrugarh to Kanyakumari — it travels nearly 4,200 km, taking about 80 hours!
The WAG-12B, built by Indian Railways and Alstom, is the heaviest and most powerful locomotive in India with 12,000 HP.
The Fairy Queen — a steam locomotive built in 1855 — still runs as a heritage train between Delhi and Alwar.
Hubballi Junction in Karnataka holds the record with a platform 1,507 meters long!
The Konkan Railway route — it passes through tunnels, bridges, and the beautiful Western Ghats near the sea.
The locomotive is the engine of the train — it provides the power to pull or push all the coaches.
WAP locos haul passenger trains (P = Passenger), while WAG locos haul goods trains (G = Goods).
A bullet train is a high-speed train that travels above 300 km/h. India’s first bullet train is being built between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
Howrah Junction in West Bengal — it has 23 platforms and handles hundreds of trains daily.
A pantograph is the metal arm on top of electric locomotives that collects power from overhead wires.
Signals control train movements — showing whether it’s safe to proceed, slow down, or stop.
Diesel trains run on diesel fuel, while electric trains use electricity from overhead wires — electric ones are faster and cleaner.
EMU stands for Electric Multiple Unit — it’s a type of local train where each coach has its own motor, like in Mumbai locals.
A loco pilot is the person who drives the train — just like a pilot flies an aircraft!
